How to start Approval Workflow with MOSS 2007

Assuming you have already published InfoPath form template in the Document library on the MOSS 2007 server.

Following Figures show how to start Approval Workflow (Out-of-the-Box) in the MOSS 2007 server:

1. Select your Document Library

2. Under Settings choose Document Library Settings

3. Choose Workflow settings

4. Select Approval, type a name of the workflow. Click start this workflow when a new Item is created and click next.

5. Assign Approvers and specify when you want the workflow to be completed. Click cancel this workflow when Document is rejected. Click OK.

6. Go back to your Document Library

7. Choose New->Form and Fill the Form Template

8. Click save as, type a name of template and save it

9. Following figure show how you can manually started assighned workflow and see the status of runing workflows

10. Approval Workflow is in Progress and with the click on the Collect Feedback you can started it

11. The Approvers gets the E-Mail in the Outlook

12. Click Edit this task…

13. Approvers can Approved, Canceled or Rejected this Document.

How to deploy an InfoPath Form to a Browser-Enabled WSS

Assuming you have already created an InfoPath form containing managed code.

Open the InfoPath and choose Publish Form Template
Chose the first option, to publish to SharePoint, and click next
Enter the location of the SharePoint site you want to publish to

Click next

Add all Column name and click next

Click publish

Upload the Template to the Central Administration Form Templates Library

Go to the Central Administration site for your farm
Click on the Application Management Tab, go down to the InfoPath Form Services section, and choose Manage Form Templates
Opened the Form Templates Library

Click Upload Form Template, and browse your Template. Click Verify

If Verify Status successful is , click OK

Choose your Template one more time , and click upload. It is now available as a Feature to be activated on any site collections in the farm.

Followed Figures describes how to activate Template to a Site Collection:

Select your desired Site, and click OK

Associate the Form Template with Form Library

1. Create a new Form Library or use existing one

Select Form Library and under Actions click Open with Windows Explorer

Open the Forms Folder and browse to your template. Copy and paste your Template in the Forms Folder. Go back to your Document library.

Select Form Library and under Settings Form Library Settings

First choose No for Allow management of content types. Type url: /MyDocumentLibraryName/Forms/MyTemplateName.xsn and then Yes. For opening browser-enabled documents, choose Display as a Web page

Click OK button to go back to the Form Library Settings page

Choose Add from existing site content types and find your form template. Click on it and click Add, then click OK.

Go back to your form library, click the New dropdown, and choose your form template. It will be opened in the browser window where it can be filled out and saved or submitted.

Problem with NetSupport Manager and DirectX

If you use NetSupport Manager for remote connection to under PC or server where DirectX application runs, following problem can occur:

DirectX functions are disabled or not available.

You can see this if you run dxdiag (DirectX Diagnostic Tool) in the : Start->run->dxdiag->Display

To resolve the problem first re-enable DirectX this can be achieved by modifying the below registry key:

Open the below registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\DCI

Change the Timeout value to 7

0 is the Value for remote software like NetSupport Manager and make DirectX inactive

7 is DEFAULT Value of Operation System and make DirectX again active

After Reboot will be DirectX functions:

· DirectDraw-Acceleration

· Direct3D- Acceleration

· AGP-Texture Acceleration

Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 and Microsoft Office Share Point Server 2007

Microsoft Office SPS 2007, builds on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Service 3.0. MS Office SPS 2007 can be use to render editable Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form templates in a browser in HTML, making the forms available to users who don’t have InfoPath 2007 installed on the client computer.

With the XmlFormView control and InfoPath Form Services you can create a custom Web pages to render Web-enebled, interactive InfoPath forms.

Requirements:

Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 (beta2)
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (beta2)
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

Important:

InfoPath Forms Services must be enabled on the server, as part of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Visual Studio must be installed on the server running InfoPath Forms Service
