What a session! The two-hour deep-dive workshop "Mastering Agents, MCP and other hypes" on July 8 at WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin was completely full, with people staying for the entire discussion and a steady stream of great questions right until the end of the next break.

We went through building AI agents based on Microsoft Agent Framework, with extended capabilities using Function Calling, MCP and RAG. From the core concepts behind agents and plugins to building custom agents, and working across Microsoft Foundry and different AI models, we covered a lot of ground, all demo-driven and built for developers, architects and technical decision-makers.
