This post describes shortly how to add an existing solution to the source control of Team Foundation Server. The example described here shows also how to add the solution to the custom folder, which is subfolder of the team project.
- Open the solution
- Go to tools|options select open SourceControl and choose “Visual Studio Team Foundation Server”
- Switch to Solution explorer, right mouse click and choose “Add to source control”.
- Before the next dialog appears VS connects to TFS and loads the list of team projects. On this dialog you can:
- Choose the project which will be root of the adding solution.
- Enter the name of the folder which will contain the adding solution.
- Create the new folder under wanted team project and add the solution under newly created folder.
